NEW WATER PUMP

After repairing it repeatedly, our water pump died for good and a new one costs $3,000 or 2.500€. We have to purchase water for cooking, drinking and showering until it is replaced. As we're already over $10,000 in debt after spending that much for the beginning of the school year, we desperately need help to purchase a new pump. Please send a check, make a transfer or click on the online donation button on the left. Thank you!

SHORT-TERM VISITORS

In the beginning of the year a young lady from Romania came to Mali to stay long-term but had to leave after 2 months for medical reasons. It was devastating for us to find out that she had returned to Mali to work with a different organization. However, God turns everything around for good, and it's like the seed that died in the ground has germinated and now produces much more fruit. To my greatest amazement, we now have 5 short-term visitors from Belarus, USA and Germany come in the next few months. Praise God! May this be the beginning of a wave of visitors, and may some return to stay. Please pray for them as well as us in this season.

BACK TO SCHOOL

The beginning of the school year is always a huge financial strain for us - tuition, uniforms, books and school supplies for 33 children devour thousands of dollars/euros. This year, I kept exact track and it amounted to 9.500€ (so far) which is currently $10,800 - money we did not have. Our water pump just dying which costs $3000 to be replaced, has not helped. I do not know why we're always in financial need and can't seem to catch a break. All I know is that God is faithful and that He uses His children to advance His kingdom on earth, whether it be by praying, going or giving. So a big thank you to all of our supporters who've been faithful to this ministry! We've lost several of our bigger donors these past two years, and that has made it extra hard.

The schools in Mali have been on strike, and for a while it looked like the kids could lose their school year. Please pray for peace and order to be established and for the children to learn something. Pray also for a teacher for our own elementary school so we have a good quality school.

EUROPE

We told you last time that we had canceled our trip to Europe. Not long after, through a series of events, the Lord made it unmistakenly clear that He wanted us to be at the World Missions Congress in Madrid, Spain, and so we obeyed. We had some divine appointments there and made great connections. It's one reason why we have helpers coming soon.

We added some time for medical appointments and ministry in Europe and are returning to Mali in two weeks.

If you'd like to see us before then, we're ministering in these two places:

Sat, Nov 17, 5 pm - VCC Jesuszentrum, Baumgasse 74 (German)
Wed, Nov 21, 7 pm - FCG Klagenfurt, Morogasse 5 (German)

QUICK NEWS

  •        Spiritual Warfare - We always need more intercessors to hold us up in prayer. Please connect with us on Facebook where we also have a secret intercessory page.
  •      Anniversary Celebration - This year we celebrate our 14th church anniversary on December 9th. We'll have skits, baptisms, preaching and broadcast live on radio, followed by a big banquet. Next year is a special anniversary, and we're already praying who we should invite as our special speaker(s).
  •        Christmas - Christmas is a special season with a party for (street) children and our own special festivities, as well as blessing the children in the villages. Please pray for the additional financial resources needed as well as for great spiritual fruit.
  •        Believing Imam - The imam who was healed and then had dreams of Jesus and decided to follow Him whole-heartedly is growing in his faith. However, he has still not left the mosque, even though he is starting to suffer the consequences. Please pray for him; his main worry is how to support his family after he leaves.
  •        Construction Update - We've been really frustrated with our construction manager who has still not picked up work after rainy season and keeps saying that he's been sick. Please pray contruction continues asap. Believe with us for the remaining 56.000€ or $66,000 to come in so we can finish it and start our school.
  •        First-Grade Teacher - We are still looking for a French-speaking first grade teacher to join our team in September. There is such a need for a good, Christian school where the children are treated with dignity and learn something. Many of our Muslim neighbors would send their children to our school. Please pray we'll find a teacher by fall!
  •        Malian Director Paul - Paul's wife Rokia has been sick and is currently undergoing treatment. Please pray for her complete healing.
  •        Security Situation - Mali is becoming more and more radicalized by jihadists. Please pray for peace, and for protection from jihadists.
  •        Miracle Baby - Please pray especially now. More to come.
  •       Volunteers - Do you want to come change an orphan's life? Do you want to heal the sick? Preach the gospel to those who've never heard? Come to Mali for a season and let God change your life. No language skills needed, but French skills are helpful.
